Please note that many of our items are handcrafted from solid wood or reclaimed vintage timber. These materials often come with signs of age, such as minor cracks, knots, uneven textures, or subtle color variations. These are not defects — they are part of the product's authenticity and charm, telling the story of where it came from. We do not alter or disguise these features, as we believe they contribute to the timeless beauty of each piece.

In terms of safety and compliance, we take this very seriously. Every wooden item we import undergoes a thorough fumigation process before it enters the United States. In addition, all shipments are inspected by U.S. Customs and certified by relevant government agencies to ensure full compliance with federal import regulations. This includes strict controls to prevent the introduction of invasive species such as termites, wood beetles, or other foreign organisms.

To date, we have not encountered any issues with pests or infestations in any of our shipments. However, we completely understand that peace of mind is important when bringing natural materials into your home. If you feel more comfortable taking extra precautionary measures, we gently recommend the use of over-the-counter products such as wood putty, borate-based sprays, or natural insect repellents — readily available online or at local hardware stores.

Please understand that due to the nature of our products, Queenaclay cannot be held liable for concerns or conditions that arise after the item has been delivered and used in a private environment.
